WHAT MAKES OUR FLOOR COATINGS DIFFERENT?

 

CONSEAL floor coatings contain the highest quality raw materials available and have been developed to provide the best wear and chemical resistance. They contain ceramic and nepheline syenite fillers which are more than twice as hard and therefore more wear resistant than than the barytes fillers used by other manufacturers in their floor coatings.

Not only do our harder fillers give longer life to CONSEAL coatings but they are 40% lighter than the dense  fillers used in other floor coatings.

WHY COATING A FLOOR CONSEAL LSC COSTING £50.00 PER 5 LITRE CAN COSTS LESS LESS PER SQUARE METRE THAN USING A WATER BASED PRODUCT THAT COSTS ONLY £25.00 PER 5 KG  CAN.

 

We sell our coatings by the litre whereas many other manufacturers of floor coatings sell their products by the kilo. They do this to make the buyer think that they are getting more product than they actually are. A 5 kg pack often contains less than 3 litres because it contains dense filler.

 

When coatings contain solvent the real cost of a coating becomes even more obscure. Because the solids content is given as a percentage by weight and the solvent has a lower density than the other ingredients, its percentage by volume is greater, so the dry film thickness is even less than a simple calculation would indicate.

 

Another point to watch is that some water based floor coatings are often sold as ‘solvent free’.
