SYNAMIN 200 SERIES AMBIENT

CURE EPOXY HARDENERS

SYNAMIN epoxy hardeners have been developed to produce the optimum physical properties combined with ease of use. All SYNAMIN products are non toxic, they do not contain phenol or genetically dangerous chemicals and rarely cause allergic reaction to users.

SYNAMIN 200 series hardeners cure at ambient temperatures and can be used with SYNTAC EPAFD, EPA and EPAF epoxy resins. The mixed resins can be used with a range of fillers, fibres and thickeners for numerous applications such as filleting, gluing, fairing, coating etc. The resin and hardener should preferably be accurately weighed in their correct proportions but for non critical applications hand pumps may be used.

SYNAMIN 201 is an economically priced cycloaliphatic diamine based epoxy adduct with a pot life of 45 minutes at 20ºC. SYNAMIN 201 has very low vapour pressure and a convenient mix ratio of 50% by weight of epoxy resin. It provides adequate physical properties for most marine applications.

SYNAMIN 220 is a cycloaliphatic diamine based epoxy adduct with a pot life of 25 minutes. It is extremely resistant to carbonation or blooming and will cure to a glossy finish even in damp conditions. SYNAMIN 220 has a mix ratio of 50% by weight of epoxy resin. Better physical properties than SYNAMIN 201

SYNAMIN 225 is an accelerated version of SYNAMIN 220. It has a pot life of approximately 20 minutes. It quickly through hardens which is useful for making sandable fillers when time is short. Mix ratio 50% by weight of epoxy resin.

SYNAMIN 250 is a slow curing amidoamine that when mixed with any SYNTAC Epoxy resin will adhere well to damp substrates such as wood, concrete etc. Produces the most waterproof coatings when used with SYNTAC EPAFD epoxy resin. Mix ratio 50% by weight of epoxy resin.

SYNAMIN 260 is a very slow curing, water white tri-amine hardener that will produce clear castings when used with SYNTAC EPAFD low viscosity epoxy resin.

SYNAMIN 620 Hardener for SYNTAC EPPU50 flexible epoxy resin.

We have numerous other epoxy hardener systems for ambient, low bake and heat cure. Please ask if you require a system for an unusual or difficult application.

Best results are obtained when the resin and hardeners are proportioned by weight. Low cost domestic scales are quick to use and more reliable than pumps.
